An Updated Brand & Renewed Culture
Agape is an amazing organization that provides hope and therapy for at-risk youth, people with special needs, and seniors through unique horse experiences. When the previous executive director accepted the position several years ago, Agape was working on repairing a damaged culture and getting through a hard time. Leadership worked hard to repair relationships, help others heal, re-engage the community, and revamp programs. As part of the healing process, Agape knew that their brand needed to be refreshed just as much as the culture did.
Agape leadership and stakeholders were led through a rebranding process which helped clearly articulate the brand, message, and tone in addition to updating the identity. This brought much-needed alignment amongst staff, the board, program participants, volunteers, and donors.
In updating the identity, three options were presented, and after much analysis and discussion, the cleanest, most minimal option was chosen. An abstract pair of overlapping horseshoes that made a heart – a nod to the horses and the mission of the organization We also updated and defined the rest of the identity including colors, type, media styles, textures and patterns, and supporting visual elements.
The new brand was warmly received and provided a breath of fresh hope into the organization. The team was equipped with the tools they needed to carry the brand forward well in execution including a logo package, messaging framework, and style guide.
Over the following months, our team worked diligently to update and create new collateral to support and continue expanding Agape’s mission on a firm foundation of a new vision, renewed commitment from leadership and stakeholders, and an updated brand.
